A great day was had by our under 11s as they reached the Stockport Vikings Tournament semi finals held at Burnage Rugby Club.
Playing against some excellent teams the squad dug deep and battled so hard to get themselves out of the group stages. Some excellent performances from all and in particular super goals from Dejaun Brown and Micah Ngawoofah saw them into the quarter finals vs the tournament favourites Fletcher Moss.
Fletcher Moss lived up to their billing as an excellent side and its clear to see why they have created so many stars such as Marcus Rashford and Danny Welbeck with their excellent football. Both sides created chances throughout the game, Dynamoes going close late on after a super top corner save by Conor in net as the game swung from end to end. Eventually the tie went to penalties, decided by Max Leeson’s Ronaldo-esq penalty to seal it.
A valliant semi final effort vs Hollingworth saw them go out to the eventual winners of the tournament after a screamer from the corner of the box.
Congratulations to the team for such an incredible effort, in a day that lasted of 7 hours!
