Safeguarding Update

I am sure that everyone will be aware of the recent media coverage relating to abuse in a football setting. This update is to re-assure our members and people looking at joining the club that here at Stockport Dynamoes we have our own Child Safeguarding Procedures and Policies. You can view our child protection policy in the above menu.

The Football Association are conducting their own reviews into abuse. Stockport Dynamoes recognises as always that the safeguarding of children is a responsibility we all must take whether in a football setting or not. It is the single most important aspect of what we do at our club. Our club has its own fully qualified Child Welfare Officer and all members at our club hold safeguarding training and valid a DBS certificate. All DBS checks are renewed every 3 years. This club follows the best practice policies from the FA in relation to child safety.

We have also already this season undertaken a massive investment in our volunteers providing them the very latest safeguarding and 1st aid training courses with the Football Association.

If any member is concerned about a child’s welfare they can report it to us straight away. Speak to any team manager or committee member. All reports will be confidential and if you want you can remain anonymous. If you are a child that is being abused on in fear of abuse please tell someone straight away. Even if the report does not relate to a football setting, you can report it to us straight away. It will be dealt with.  If you do not feel comfortable reporting it to another person directly there is links on this page to the NSPCC and Ceop.

If you wish to report something you can do so be emailing our dedicated welfare email address – childwelfare@sdjfc-co-uk.stackstaging.com or by contacting the Cheshire County Football Association by clicking their badge on this website.
