As always in line with the FA regulations, mini soccer is friendly based competition with no published league tables and a limited number of published cup games allowed. As always we will not openly publish individual scores at this age however here is an overal review of our mini soccer teams at the ages of Under 8s, 9s, and 10s
Under 8 Black – A new team formed last summer and they made a sterling effort in Group D of the Metro League. All Boys really learnt a lot which will stand them in good stead for the future. The side played 12 league games, winning 12 of these and scoring a record 130 goals in the process
Under 8 Yellow – Under 8 Yellow produced some fine performances and have shown continous improvement. They will take what they have learnt over this season as they become the 1st ever Dynamoes team to enter the Respect League.
Under 9 Black – Its been another season of continous development for the team. Some excellent results and performances to show for it too. A real season of progress. In the cup competition having fought in 2 really tough groups with big away games the side finished the competition in a respectable place.
Under 9 Stripes – Stripes have been playing more practice games ready to enter the league for next season. Its a big summer for Paul and Nick as they prepare for some pre-season friendlies and the big kick off in September.
Under 9 Yellow – Under 9 Yellow joined the club in January and have never looked back. The season finshed on a 26 game unbeaten run and they will now use the summer to prepare for next season.
Under 10 – Another good hard working season for this team. Playing in a really tough league group, the team worked tirelessly. More hard games followed in the cup as the Under 10s battled their way to a respectable 24 place finish in the cup. Under 10s now move to 9v9 competitive football.
So that concludes an amazing season of mini soccer for the club. As always our main ethos is not results but participation and enjoyment. Both published competitions at under 9 and 10 age groups were for a total of 35 teams in the divisional structure. All of our teams will attend the Metro League Presentation held at the plaza theatre on 17/5/2015. A massive well done to all the players involved.
We shall have a full review of the competitive football age groups when the final tables are updated.
